1. You are in Pennsylvania and I am not. Will the distance be a barrier?
  Definitely not! We have clients all over the country, with potential for overseas work. Coaching and other services can be done in person, but much coaching is done by telephone or a combination of on-site and telephone sessions. In addition, for many services we travel to provide them on-site.

2. I/We already have so much going on, how will I/we make time for coaching or other programs?
  Lets face it, we make time for what is really important to us. And, is there ever really a "right" time to begin? In fact, coaching or other services can actually help with the busyness and stress.

3. We have a tight budget this year. How could we afford your services?
  Once we have assessed your challenges and determined there is a "fit", we will work with you on a service that will fit your budget. There may be "simple" and "more comprehensive" ways to proceed, or ways projects can be broken down into steps. You tell us what your budget is and we will do our best to find a way to work within it.

4. How do you begin the coaching process with an individual?
  The initial coaching session is complimentary and is a get-acquainted time in which the individual's background, current situation, challenges, and goals are explored. The coach answers questions, makes suggestions, and explains the coaching structure. When the individual chooses to work with the coach, often a number of assessments are given to be completed between sessions to assist in developing a coaching plan.

5. What are common reasons companies hire executive coaches?
  Coaches are typically hired by companies to:
1. perform executive assessments for selection, leadership development, or succession planning;
2. work with the companies "high potentials" or key managers and executives for leadership development;
3. work with a valued executive who may have an area of needed development for improving performance (people skills, presentations skills, leadership skills, organizational skills, etc.); and
4. enhance the functioning or formation of work teams.

6. I am a service professional or small business owner-how would you work with me?
  The process is essentially the same for coaching individuals whether in corporations or in their own businesses. Coaching aids high-functioning people to perform better, achieve goals more quickly and easily, and maximize their personal and professional development.

7. How is coaching different from counseling or therapy?
  Coaching and counseling are much different. Counseling and therapy are about healing something and typically focus on emotional problems and issues from the past. Coaching focuses on aiding high-functioning individuals to improve performance, reach new levels of personal development, and improve skills in particular areas. It is present-and future-oriented, and very action-oriented.

8. What makes coaching beneficial?
  Coaching provides one-on-one guidance and support for professional and personal growth and change. The client and coach together use customized strategies to help achieve business and professional goals. Clients see accelerated development, and make easier and faster progress toward their goals than would be otherwise possible. Companies see increased effectiveness and better results.
